The source of inspiration for this collection is the work of the master of Modran majolica, Mr. Heřman Landsfeld (*1899 †1986). As a hobby archaeologist, Mr. Landsfeld dedicated himself to redrawing extensive pottery samples from excavations in Western Slovakia and nearby Moravia. The curator of SNM - Museum of Slovak Ceramic Sculpture, Mrs. Agáta Petrakovičová Šikulová, collaborated on this collection.
 
Modranská majolica has a prominent place on the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Slovakia, which underlines its cultural value and historical significance.
