Terracotta Bust of Sappho
Terracotta bust. Made in one size. Modeling done in high relief. Handcrafted from Impruneta clay, frost resistant to -30°C with excellent durability, the shape remains unchanged over time. As the seasons pass, it acquires a nice superficial appearance.
 
Sappho was an archaic Greek poetess from Eresos or Mytilene on the island of Lesbos. Sappho is known for her lyrical poetry, which she wrote for singing accompanied by music. In ancient times, Sappho was widely regarded as one of the greatest lyric poets and was given names such as the "tenth muse" and "the poetess".
