1. Idea: Les First - Top quality Italian craftsmanship
 The Les First lamps are inspired by the mythological motifs on the frescoes that the Renaissance artist Giulio Romano painted in the halls of Palazzo Te for the Gonzaga lords of Mantua. The distinctive design, which combines the traditional handmade ceramics of the Venetian tradition with specially created innovative technology, makes the lamps unique in the lighting field. The best quality Les First table lamps are produced in the regions of Lombardy and Veneto. Carefully hand-selected craft workshops according to the specification of the various components, which are then assembled in the Les First studio in Mantua. The highest quality ceramics and skilled craftsmanship guarantee top quality along with the uniqueness of craftsmanship.
 
2. Technological innovation: Dimmable touch lamp
The ceramic sculpture, the core of the artistic composition, is enhanced by an innovative lighting cylinder made of clear Plexiglas.
Micro-cuts, laser-engraved by CNC machines on the surface of the cylinder, ensure an even distribution of light throughout the board.
The light is switched and adjusted using innovative specialized software, specially created by a technical laboratory in Verona. The microprocessor controls and processes the effect of the user's hand approach to control and adjust the light. A system developed especially for Les First turns the ceramic sculpture into a dimmable touch lamp whose gentle glow can be turned on and off and adjusted by simply touching the lamp's ceramic base, without a conventional switch.

4. Craft production
Les First ceramic lamps are handcrafted pieces and only a few components are industrially manufactured. Due to the complex and multi-step manual production, each lamp can show individual characters, characteristics unique to the manual production process, which must not be considered errors. Slight irregularities in the ceramic surface may be the result of shrinkage during the firing phase or the characteristics of antique molds. The colors can show variations with a very individual and pleasant effect due to the firing process of the crystalline glaze, such as the typical and prized "crackle". In the case of gold and silver metallic coatings, small irregular cracks may appear on the surface, as the precious metals and clay undergo different expansions during the different stages of firing and cooling. Pieces from the same lot may show a slightly different appearance. Such variable responses to the production process cannot be fully predicted by even the most experienced potter and are part of the unique and enduring charm of handmade ceramics.
Each lamp is carefully tested according to strict quality standards. Les First adheres to the highest quality standards for hand-made production, as proven by centuries of ceramic experience in Vicenza. The element of imperfection, typical of all handmade products, is not a fault - but rather a sign of the ancient Italian craftsmanship tradition.

Assembling the Les First lamp from its handmade components requires extremely skilled work and is never outsourced.
 
6. Packaging and Shipping
All Les First products are carefully hand packed with materials specially designed to ensure the stability and protection of the lamps. The boxes are dimensioned to accommodate the lamps and protective layers of expanded polyethylene and/or high expansion foam which, when handled correctly, ensure the protection of the lamps. These inner layers can vary according to specific needs. The weight of the packaging must be added to the weight of the lamp itself.
