The vases are hand-turned on a majolica potter's wheel. After the first firing at 980 °C, it is decorated freehand with traditional folk decor. Subsequently, they undergo another firing, after which the colors acquire resistance and a high gloss.

Modran majolica is part of the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Slovakia.
