This is a huge decorative ceramic vase inspired by the Hermitage, the royal palace of the tsars in St. Petersburg, now one of the largest museums in the world. However, Ceccarelli's artistic approach is heavily influenced by the Italian Renaissance and the motif copies 18th century Tuscan tiles, which in turn were inspired by older ceramics.
