The violent shattering of this terracotta cube prompted the idea to fill it this time with blue glass tiles to simulate water plummeting vertically and plunging into the bowels of the earth. In this case, as in a devastating earthquake, it also helped to raise one water table against the other, as if they were two banks of a canyon: an effect that the artist greatly appreciated and deliberately emphasized. Another highly decorative addition: binding with braided copper wire, like a corset. Elements of tradition that should never be forgotten, reinterpreted, become something else. Several freehand engravings on each side, like waves, always inspired by water. This is a unique piece that cannot be reproduced.
