This chair by Radice Orlandini is inspired by the Kintsugi, a Japanese pottery technique that exalts rather than hides the cracks of broken objects with contrasting metallic lacquer. Similarly, each part of this chair can be emphasized with different materials and colors to highlight its intriguing design. The frame is fashioned of steel tubing painted with gray epoxy powders padded with cold-cured polyurethane foam. Covered in blue fabric, the seat and compact armrests, that fold in a U-shape to provide support without being bulky, are covered with blue fabric while the headrest is in gray.
